Bangladesh to play another match against Emirates

Bangladesh was scheduled to play a two-match T20 series against the United Arab Emirates on its way to Pakistan to play a five-match T20 series. The first match was the day before yesterday, and the second today. However, the United Arab Emirates Cricket Board has said that they will play an additional match against Bangladesh.

The third match of the series will be held on May 21 at the Sharjah International Cricket Stadium, the venue for the previous two matches. That match will also start at 9 pm. The reason for the increase in matches in this series of stopovers is mainly the uncertainty surrounding the Pakistan tour.

This tension began after the India-Pakistan conflict. Now, however, the BCB has received the green signal from the Bangladesh government. However, the two boards have not yet finalized the schedule. Therefore, the BCB proposed to the United Arab Emirates Cricket Board to play this additional match in order to save costs and rationalize their stay there during the period before the Pakistan tour, and they also agreed to it.

It is learned that the PCB has already sent several proposed new schedules to the BCB. The five-match T20 series was supposed to start on May 25. The new proposals call for a start on May 27. Since Eid-ul-Azha falls on June 6 or 7, both boards want to complete the Bangladesh-Pakistan series by June 5.

According to the previous schedule, the Bangladesh team was supposed to finish the series in Sharjah today and go to Pakistan tomorrow. But the changed schedule will delay the game in Pakistan. And the Bangladesh team’s cricketers do not want to go to Pakistan so early in the series and stay there for an extra day.

But if the team stays in Dubai for the extra time, the BCB’s expenses will increase. However, if the series matches can be extended, the Emirates board will bear the expenses as the host. That is why the BCB has proposed to extend the matches. And if the matches are not extended, the team can return home for a few days before the Pakistan tour. However, none of this is known yet. What schedule Bangladesh will play in Pakistan in the end, will the series be five T20s or will the matches be reduced?
